Terms(plain English, we promise)

Glimpse is a voice dictation app for macOS and Windows. The core app is open source under the AGPL-3.0 license, which you can read in the project repository. Free dictation is, and stays, free.

Buying Glimpse Personal or Glimpse Commercial grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the paid features. A Personal license covers up to 5 of your own devices. A Commercial seat covers one person using Glimpse for paid work on one device. Licenses are sold per the descriptions at checkout.

New installs include a limited 2-week free trial of the paid features. When the trial ends, Glimpse keeps working as free dictation with no time or word limits. You are never required to buy anything to keep dictating.

Payments are processed by our checkout provider. Glimpse Personal is a one-time purchase, and Commercial seats are licensed per seat on a yearly basis as shown at checkout.

If Glimpse is not right for you, contact us within 14 days of your purchase at hello@tryglimpse.cc and we will issue a full refund. Because there is a free trial and a free tier, we may decline refunds requested outside that window.

Please do not resell or redistribute paid license keys, attempt to circumvent licensing, or use Glimpse to break the law. The AGPL-3.0 license governs what you may do with the open-source code; these terms govern the paid licenses and the website.

Glimpse runs transcription on your device. We do not receive your audio, transcripts, prompts, or API keys. What little we collect is described on our Privacy page, and you can turn analytics off at any time.

Glimpse is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We work hard to make it reliable, but we cannot guarantee it will be error-free or fit every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Glimpse.

We may update these terms as Glimpse evolves. When we do, we will change the date above. Questions about these terms can go to hello@tryglimpse.cc. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
