Medical dictation
that runs on-device
Talk, and Glimpse types into any EHR. The audio is transcribed on your computer and never leaves it.
It never leaves your computer.
No cloud. No account. No tracking. The model runs on your machine, and we never receive a word of what you say.
Other apps stop at dictation.
This is where Glimpse keeps going.
Ghost Mode
Sensitive dictation goes straight into your note. Glimpse does not keep a recording or add it to History.
Patient declined further workup today.
Tuned to each app
The same words land terse in the chart and polished in a letter. Glimpse adjusts to wherever you are typing.
“see you in three months, keep up the meds”
F/u 3 mo. Continue current meds.
It was good to see you today. Let's plan to meet again in about three months, and please keep taking your medication.
Fix it by voice

Questions
Is Glimpse a good dictation app for clinical notes?
Yes. It types into any app including your EHR, learns your medical vocabulary, and runs locally on your machine. It is a dictation tool, not an automated scribe that joins the visit for you.
Is Glimpse HIPAA compliant?
HIPAA compliance depends on how your organization handles protected health information, not on any single app. Glimpse helps by running on your device: your audio and notes are not uploaded to us. Confirm your full setup with your compliance team.
Does my patient audio or notes leave my computer?
No. Transcription happens on your machine. Glimpse does not upload your audio, transcripts, or notes. Optional paid features like AI cleanup only call out when you turn them on, and only to a provider you configure.
Does it work inside my EHR?
Glimpse types into whatever app or text field has your cursor, so it works in browser-based and desktop EHRs, messaging, and documents. There is no special integration to set up.
Is medical dictation free?
Yes. Voice dictation, custom dictionary entries, and text replacements are free on macOS and Windows. Paid workflow features like file transcription and AI cleanup require a license. For clinical work, Glimpse Commercial is $48 per device per year.
What does a commercial license include?
Glimpse Commercial covers paid work use and unlocks the workflow features: file transcription, AI cleanup, third-party LLM integrations, and the rest. Dictation itself stays free either way. See the license page for Personal and Commercial details.
